In 1990 a Hollywood film was released created by a writer called Bruce Joel Rubin called ‘Ghost’.
The film was to become a classic and is one of the highest grossing films ever in the UK. It was nominated for 5 Oscars and awarded 2 in 1991.
Ghost is a tragic story of two lovers Sam and Molly who, having just become engaged are torn apart after Sam is murdered in a mugging which
goes wrong. Sam becomes trapped as a Ghost between this world and the next and continues to protect Molly as he did in life,
but now more so as he discovers the truth behind his death and the fact Molly is now in grave danger.
Sam convinces a ‘phony’ store front psychic to help him communicate with Molly and bring his killer to justice but everything does not go to plan as Sam realises just who is friends really are.
Now in 2011 as this classic film has come of age it has been adapted for the stage.
Music and lyrics are provided by Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard and direction by Matthew Warchus.
Bruce Joel Rubin has written the stageplay, he knows the characters better than anyone!
The show had its World Premiere in Manchester on the 28th March 2011 and completed a sell-out 7 week run playing to over 100,000 people before
transferring to the Piccadilly Theatre in London’s West End where it opened on the 24th June. The show is fast approaching 300 performances and now with a Broadway and Melbourne transfer announced within the next 18 months of the shows World Premiere the whole world will soon ‘believe’ again.
Receiving universal acclaim from critics and the public alike Ghost the Musical looks like it is continuing the runaway success of the movie.

Ghost The Musical is already a success, but will I am sure be a smash hit musical in London and on Broadway! Caissie and Richard are outstanding as Molly and Sam! Sharon D Clarke, Andrew Langtree, Ivan de Freitas and Adebayo Bolaji are also superb, as are the rerst of the cast.
Three words describe this musical…. “it is beautiful…”
