has announced the release date of 15/09/08 for
her first collection CD
titled The Annie Lennox Collection.
It features 14 tracks including
2
covers from Tom Chaplin from Keane and Ash. See the main panel for more

JULY 2008 - LILY WAS HERE AGAIN |
Following last weeks appearance of the
American Prayer promo, and this week sees the Lily Was Here CD hit the
US Radio stations. We can exclusively bring you for the first time
full size scans of each of the promo's.
The Lily Was Here cd also mentions that it is the 5th most played
instrumental of all time.
I've also been luck enough to read the new booklet from the main CD, and
the story's that are going to be in the book sound great. Dave recalls
how Candy Dulfer was only 17 when she recorded Lily with Dave, and that
it was the last song they recorded for the soundtrack. American
prayer meanwhile was recorded in 6 countries and seems even now to still
be evolving!

JULY 2008 - ** BRAND NEW SECTION ** |
So today sees the launch of a brand new section in the Ultimate
Eurythmics Website. For the first time we can present almost 200
adverts and trade ads for Dave and Annie's music that have appeared
across the world, right from the first advert for Longdancer in Melody
Maker to recent adverts for SOMD and Sing. This could only have
happened with the help of several people (Craig, Norma, Dave, Diana) and
I hope its the first of many collaborative projects that we will present
(The next 3 are already under way so watch this space!) Click

JULY 2008 - PROMO TIME |
As predicted, the first few promo's for Dave's new
album, The Dave Stewart Songbook Volume 1 have started appearing.
Not only is there a full promo double CD set of the main album, there is
now a 2 track promo containing 2 versions of American Prayer, a Radio
Edit (4:12) and the full album version (5:39). The double vinyl
release of the album has also been confirmed.

JULY 2008 -
DISCOGRAPHY UPDATE |
Its been a while, but another 200 images have been uploaded into
the discography with a number of new and rare items. A couple of
versions of the Apollo 13 Soundtrack that I have never seen before
featuring Annie's vocals, as well as the only Lover Speaks single that
Dave worked on, after their first album that featured No More I Love
You's titled I Close My Eyes and Count to Ten. There's also a rare Australian release of Possessed with Vegas
with a very different CD to the standard European release. My favourite
item though has to be this very rare AOL promo for the Live 8 DVD
featuring Annie Lennox with a small replica guitar, DVD all packed in an
exclusive case.

JUNE 2008 - ANOTHER WEEK FOR DAVE |
Dave is credited on Katy Perry's new album out this week called One Of
The Boys. Dave Stewart is credited as co-writer, producer as well
as for guitars on the track "Im Still Breathing" You can buy it
from the 17th on Amazon, and you can listen to a snippet of each track.
Katy has been nurtured by Glen Ballard for the last 7 years, and this
album is expected to catapult her into stardom.

JUNE 2008 - ALBUM UPDATES |
 A
couple of albums of interest for Dave fans to look out for.
Firstly the new release from Gavin Rossdale this week, the husband of
Gwen Stefani and lead singer of Bush. Dave worked on at least
three tracks with Gavin, but so far it appears only one made it to the
album, Wanderlust. The track called Another Night In The Hills.
The other album to look out for is the remastered version of the Kiki
Dee classic
album Angel Eyes, featuring not only a remastered version of Another Day
Comes (Another Day Goes), but also a Nightmare remix of the same track,
remember back to The Sweet Dreams remix of 1991! |

JUNE 2008 - DISCOGRAPHY UPDATE |
Another large update is now online in the discography, with another 60
new items and 70 updated items. Thanks to a number of fans
scanning in their images this update has seen nearly 200 more images
going into the archives. You can view the updates by entering the
collectors discography main pages and selecting the new and updated page
options. Some of the hi-lights include the very rare Greek Medusa LP,
and the rare sleeve for the Live Laserdisc from Japan.

 The

ZOMBIE BROADWAY |

 The first of Dave's next comic series
following on from Walk In is now available to order from
Virgin Comics
but not released until
28th March 2008.
They say that New Yorkers have seen everything. But that was before New
York City was hit by a zombie infestation, destroying the city, and
killing most of its inhabitants. Now the President and all his men have
to solve this zombie problem before it hits the rest of the country.
Dropping a bomb on the city seems like the only solution, until
the mayor of New York comes up with a last ditch effort: put on a Zombie
Broadway! Watch out New York. You ain't seen nothin' yet.

Once again Annie has
appeared on Idol Gives back in the United States, and judging by the
press comments, Annie really stole the show, not just with her
performance of the Jimmy Cliff classic, many rivers to cross, but also
her videos recorded as part of the Sing Campaign. Viewers in the
US have voted with their feet, and Annie is currently storming the
I-Tunes download charts with both the audio and video download.
