The song “Angel” was reportedly inspired by the both the passing of Annie’s grandfather and her first child. A good reference point for the idea behind this controversial clip is the 1964 British cult film “Seance On A Wet Afternoon.” The seance imagery is very similar and, coincidentally, there is a character called Mrs. Savage in the film. This video was reportedly censored by MTV for its “occult” imagery. To that, Happy Halloween!
